Dave [continued under art card]: "...We actually have the counselors doing outreach in the communities that they serve. It's a place for the borrower to come. It's a place for the borrower and their agent to come."
Art, Chase Homeownership Center: "We want to do whatever we can to keep them in the home. That's the number one goal."
Dave: "And we, right on the spot, try to craft a solution for that customer."
Glen, Chase Homeownership Center: "Definitely, taking a leadership role in this, opening these centers. Having a face-to-face contact. Because right now, we're the only ones that I know of that does the face-to-face contact."
Evelyn, Chase Homeownership Centers: "We have representatives for all three banks. We have EMC, Chase, and WaMu."
Art: "The number one is identifying somebody we're going to be able to immediately help in terms of, 'How critical is it? How late are they?'"
Gloria, Homeowner: "Pretty much it's just gathering the package and I'm sure they're going to send it to the loan modification department. And then I'll hear from them."
Estela, Chase Homeownership Center: "If anybody needs help in translating, we have a person that speaks Vietnamese. I speak Spanish."
Andres, Homeowner: [Speaks in Spanish] – Translation "In my recent job, they cut my hours."
Cecelia, Chase Homeownership Center: "The hours got cut back on his work. One of the cars broke down and he started riding is bike to work."
Zach, Chase Homeownership Center: "He's going from Irvine to Tustin on a bike."
Cecelia: "Takes him an hour."
Zach: "Just to cut down on gas and when they came in they were really apprehensive."
Andres: [Spanish] "We need help. We don't have the means to pay the interest – or make our payments."
Zach: "When a customer comes in. They identify – is their hardship temporary, is it permanent, are they employed? Do they have a main stream of income coming in? Do they have the ability to repay? Based upon that, we do a financial. We see their overall picture."
Art: "We try to work out some sort of a loan workout or modification."
Gloria: "Its my home. It's my neighbors. The front yard. It's safe. It's the only home I have."
